El equipo ciclista Euskaltel Euskadi ha recibido esta tarde una comunicación de la Unión Ciclista Internacional en la que se notifica el análisis no negativo del ciclista Alexander Serebryakov en fecha 18 de marzo cuando se encontraba entrenando en su domicilio. Fiel a su firme compromiso por un ciclismo limpio y creíble y en aplicación del reglamento interno acorde a este espíritu, el equipo ha tomado la decisión de apartar al ciclista de la disciplina del conjunto al instante y proceder a su suspensión inmediata de empleo y sueldo. El equipo muestra su asombro de que todavía haya ciclistas que no entiendan que el ciclismo debe ser un deporte limpio y sin atajos, por lo que condena categóricamente este tipo de actuaciones.
Euskaltel Euskadi cycling team has received this afternoon a communication from the International Cyclist Union reporting an adverse analytical finding concerning the cyclist Alexander Serebryakov, who was tested the 18th of March while he was training at his home. True to its commitment towards a clean and credible cycling, and in application of the internal rules of procedure consistent with this spirit, the team has decided to immediately expel the cyclist from the team and suspend him of employment and salary.
